Critique Sheets

Critique Sheets for Various Types of Products

In most creative fields, you’ll need to be able to critique and receive critiques for products you are working on. Sometimes, a job interview will even require you to critique other job applicants so that the employer can see how you handle that kind of thing! We’ve had students who have experienced this.

Be a team player. Be kind. Provide feedback about what is great and what needs to be improved. Be specific and always keep in mind what the purpose of the product is and the target audience and needs of the client.

Asking for Critiques

When you have a version of your project at a stage where you can benefit from a critique, preferably when you still have time left on the project to take the feedback that you get into consideration.

Choose the project critique sheet you need below and print 3 copies. Provide those to three class mates and obtain their Peer Critiques…Save their critiques in your desk drawer so that you can turn them in later with your project.

Try to receive input from others openly and thank people for their suggestions.

Giving Critiques

When you are the person doing the critique, be sure to always point out three of your favorite things about the project. Then, try to give info that will help the animator to target the issues that could/should be addressed.
